Fund Raising

Fund Raising

In addition to money received through Water Festival, we support the Beaufort Charities Golf Tournament. The club supplies volunteers for various check-in and other duties and in return receives revenue from the entrants. We also host a "Fun Raiser" in March that offers an opportunity for members and guests to enjoy an evening of entertainment and prizes. This major event funds most of our service.

In addition we now offer the following fund-raising opportunity:

A Unique and Profitable Fundraiser For The Rotary Foundation

As Rotarians we understand "Service Above Self" and are aware of the incredible achievements internationally that have resulted from our dedication to this theme. Now Rotary Club of Honolulu Sunset asks your club to participate in this first of its kind fundraiser to benefit The Rotary Foundation.

Rotary International and the Rotary Foundation have authorized an official, special limited edition, mint issue of a proof-quality, one-ounce, pure silver commemorative coin as an international fundraiser. The coin has the Rotary wheel logo on one side, and the Rotary Foundation world logo on the other. It is presented in an air-tight capsule in a velvet box with a numbered certificate of authenticity. Rotary President Bhichai Rattakul is counting on this project to contribute to Rotary's final push to wipe out polio.

Rotary International has authorized the minting of an official limited edition proof quality modern commemorative. There will be only 100,000 first edition mint masterpieces issued. This means that less than one out of every ten Rotarians has the opportunity to own this rare, valuable, and lasting tribute to Rotary's accomplishments and world-wide community involvement. Unique Design Symbolizing RotaryThe obverse (front) is the official symbol of The Rotary foundation, the non-profit corporation that supports the efforts of Rotary International worldwide to achieve understanding and peace through international humanitarian, educational, and cultural exchange programs. The Rotary Foundation is supported by voluntary contributions from Rotarians. The reverse is the Official Rotary Emblem created in 1922. The gear wheel with 24 cogs and six spokes represents civilization and movement, and the keyway signifies the wheel as a "worker and not idler."

Raise funds for R.I. and the Foundation: Revenues from the sale of this coin goes to Rotary International and the Rotary Foundation. Remember that the monies can be used by Rotary International and the Foundation for the "4 to 1 match" by the Bill Gates Foundation and World Bank to increase funds for the eradication of polio.

Raise funds for your club: The sale of this coin also can produce revenues for your club. Part of the proceeds stay with the club that submits the orders. The coins sell for $49.00 each, but cost the club only $36.75. Your club keeps the difference ($12.25) making this a good fundraiser for your club.
